WHAT'S NEEDED TO START YOUR LESSONSYou are required to be aged 17 or older and have a valid signed provisional driving licence, which you can get the forms (D750) and (D1) from the post office, then send to the DVLA with the correct fee. Once you have got your licence you are ready to start.WHAT'S GOING TO BE COVERED DURING YOUR LESSONSWe will start in a quiet area so that we can get used to the controls of the car. When you start to learn to drive we can practice for your theory / hazard perception test.Practice moving off, stopping and changing gears. Learn to deal with traffic, junctions and parked vehicles. Develop your skills of awareness, anticipation, and planning to make you a safe considerate driver. Once we have some confidence we will move on to busier roads. Learn to deal with roundabouts, traffic lights, pedestrian crossings. Learn and practice the manoeuvres turn in the road, left reverse, parallel / bay parking, emergency stop. When you are ready you can take your theory test / hazard test. I'll teach you about the vehicle safety checks the show me ,tell me questions. We will keep developing your general driving skills and practice the manoeuvres. Then when we agree you are ready we can book your driving test. We can practice for the test by doing mock test to get you accustomed to what it will be like on the day. THE BIG DAY (YOUR TEST)
AT THE TEST CENTREYour examiner will call your name out and come across to you so they can check your documents. Get you to sign the test form. They will ask you to go outside whilst walking into the car park they will introduce themselves. Ask you to read a car number plate then ask you 2 of the show/tell questions. Next you need to make yourself comfy in the car your examiner will join you, after they have made a visual check of the car and taken some details.Now relax and follow their instructions - enjoy the next 40 mins !!!!! REMEMBER!YOU can't fail for going the wrong way correctly, but YOU can fail for going the right way incorrectly. |
